ModernNest was established in 2001 with a single goal: to bring the world's best designer lighting and furniture directly to design-conscious homes across North America. We work directly with manufacturers in Italy, France, Japan, Denmark, Spain, Australia and the Netherlands — building close relationships that give our customers access to authentic, authorized products with full manufacturer warranties. Our collection spans over twenty-five brands including Akari by Isamu Noguchi, Artemide, FontanaArte, Lumina, Oluce, Luceplan, Serge Mouille, Magis and Driade. Every product we sell is sourced from the original manufacturer — never from third-party distributors.
Modernnest was founded on a single conviction: that the objects in a home should be as considered as the architecture itself. Good design should not be the exclusive preserve of boutiques in major cities — it should be accessible to anyone, anywhere in the country, who cares enough to look for it.
Over two decades, that conviction has not changed. What has changed is the depth and breadth of what we are able to offer — a catalogue that now spans lighting, furnishings, and accessories from more than twenty authorised brands, each chosen for the integrity and longevity of their work. We do not carry products designed to be replaced.

We work directly with ateliers across Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, France, Denmark, and beyond — ensuring every product arrives authentic, fully warranted, and correctly configured for the US market.
We also search local markets around the world and select existing products that are well designed, innovative, and consistent with our high standards for design and product performance.
