Artemide | Nessino Table Lamp - Ruby Red Collection
MODEL OPTIONS:
The table lamp Nessino by Artemide reinterprets the iconic lines of Nesso in a more compact and versatile form. As a symbol of Italian design, it preserves the expressive silhouette of the original and reflects the distinctive style of the 1960s, a decade marked by the rise of modernity and new materials.
Characterized by its organic contours, the table lamp Nessino draws inspiration from natural forms while embracing the technological advancements of industrial production. The use of plastic, a material that defined an era, allows for a fluid and sculptural presence that suggests adaptability in various interior settings. Its compact dimensions make it suited to both intimate and open spaces, offering a subtle reference to the evolution of lighting design during a transformative period in domestic environments.
The expressive surface and vibrant hue of the table lamp Nessino in the Ruby Red Collection introduce a contemporary accent while maintaining a connection to its historical roots. This piece can accompany a range of furnishings, from minimalist to eclectic, and suggests a discreet yet recognizable presence in the living room, study, or bedroom. The interplay of light and material enhances the atmosphere, underscoring the lamp’s role as both a functional and aesthetic element.
Founded in Milan in 1959, Artemide is the definitive Italian lighting brand — the company behind some of the most iconic lamps ever made. The Tizio (Richard Sapper, 1972) conducts electricity through its counterbalanced arm, eliminating visible cables entirely. The Tolomeo (Michele De Lucchi, 1987) adjusts to any angle with one hand and never dates. The Nesso mushroom, the mouth-blown Gople, the modular Alphabet of Light by BIG — each one a permanent reference point in contemporary design, several in MoMA's permanent collection.
Artemide calls its philosophy "The Human Light" — the idea that a lamp should respond to the person using it, not the other way around. Every piece is engineered to be adjusted, repositioned, and lived with for decades. LED technology is integrated without compromise: the brand has won five Red Dot Awards, two Interior Design Best of Year Awards, and the iF Product Design Award for a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz.
As an authorised Artemide retailer, Modernnest carries the full collection — table, floor, wall, pendant and outdoor — with free shipping on most orders.
