Bis -Tris Table Lamp Designed in 1954, the Bis and Tris table lamps still feature their contemporary shape, both for the version with polished brass frame and bowl in black opal glass (Bis) and also for the one with chromed metal frame and bowl in sandblasted glass painted white inside
Fontana Arte was founded in 1932 by the architect Gio Ponti. In the early years Fontana Arte was knows for its advanced glass making and stained glass applications. Gio Ponti designed the first glass lighting and interior applications in collaboration with Pietro Chiesa. Today the Fontana Arte collection includes design by Max Ingrand, David Chipperfield, Vico Magistretti, Franco Raggi. Foster & Parnters, Charles Williams. The Fontana Arte Lighting collection includes such classics like Falena, Flute, A Max, Duplex, Sillaba, Fontana, Lampara, and 2198TA.
