Fontana Arte was founded in 1932 by the architect Gio Ponti. In the early years Fontana Arte was knows for its advanced glass making and stained glass applications. Gio Ponti designed the first glass lighting and interior applications in collaboration with Pietro Chiesa. Today the Fontana Arte collection includes design by Max Ingrand, David Chipperfield, Vico Magistretti, Franco Raggi. Foster & Parnters, Charles Williams. The Fontana Arte furniture collection includes such classics like Tour, Tavolo Con Ruote, Sobrio, Cartoccio and the Fontana glass tables.
