LAK Zig Zag Lamp LAK9405 by Jielde Lighting is a modern floor lamp with five rotating arms designed by Jean-Louis Domecq in the 60's. In his life time Jean-Louis Domecq had designed four different lamps models for machine tools and workshops. The LAK9405 zig zag lamp is an adaptation using the technical aspects of the Jielde Loft lamp specifications with fully rotating arms and head. The distinctive design difference on the LAK series is the cut sections and the hexagonal arms. The LAK9405 zig zag lamp is a modernized design of an old classic but retaining the expertise of another time. The LAK zig zag series is available in 18 different colors including a brushed and chrome version. The LAK9405 is designed by Jean-Louis Domecq
Jieldé Lamps was startd by Jean-Louis Domecq. Searching for a suitable lamp fixture for his general mechnaics activities he decided to construct his own lamp. It took two yeras of trial and error to final settle in April of 1950 on the final specifications that was simple, robust, and articulated in order to adapt to all working senarios. In 1953 the Jielde company was founded and marketed as his initials Ji eL De. In the 1990's the family of lamps expanded to include the Loft, Signal and Augustin series. The Jielde lamps are an icon of French industrial art and still hand made in Lyon. Jielde lights are now the perfect modern light for any home or office.
