MODEL OPTIONS:
Malamata Pendant Lamp by Luceplan. The range of Malamata lights (named to recall the designer’s Israeli roots, drawing on the Hebrew meaning of ‘up and down’) is characterised by the possibility of a variety of diffuser positions. The light can be adjusted thanks to a sphere counterweight. Pushing the button on top of the sphere, a sping is released and the counterweight is free to slide on the steam, allowing to change the diffuser position up and down. Lighting Modern Italian Lighting Since 1978
Luceplan is one of Italy's most celebrated lighting manufacturers, founded in Milan in 1978 by Riccardo Sarfatti, Sandra Severi, and designer Paolo Rizzatto. From the beginning, Luceplan set out to merge advanced technology with refined Italian design — producing modern Italian lighting that feels as innovative today as it did four decades ago.
What sets Luceplan apart from other Italian lighting brands is its deep commitment to research. Every Luceplan lamp begins with a question about how light interacts with space, material, and the human experience. That approach has earned the brand multiple Compasso d'Oro awards — Italy's most prestigious design honor — along with recognition from the iF Design Award, Red Dot, and the ADI Design Index.
