Cirio Pendant Lamp by Santa & Cole is a flexible and composition system. that provides for many custom and pre-fabricated solutions. The frame on Cirio is finished in a painted black steel structure, with each Lampshade available in a cream Sargadelos porcelain or finished in a spun black aluminum with a gold interior. The design system was to create a warm light source using modern LED technology, The flexible system allows each fixture to be hung and attached individually onto the multi-rail or the single canopy, which makes it flexible and independent of its power source. Santa & Cole was founded in Barcelona Spain in 1985, when Javier Nieto Santa, Gabriel Ordeig Cole, and Nina Masó founded it 23 years ago. Santa Cole has been designing industrial objects in order to seek a better user-experience for these products.
In 1992 Santa & Cole was engaged in helping design and manufacturer the urban improvements for the Olympic games. Since then Santa & Cole has grown into a full service industrial design firm which includes Urban Design and Planning, Public Lighting, Outdoor Furniture, Forestry and Book Publishing. The lighting collection of Santa & Cole includes collaboration with Miguel Mila, Arne Jacobson and Antoni Arola.
